Terms With Definitions

L.S.—Little Seekers, Birth to Kindergarten

K-2—Kindergarten through Grade 2

3-5—Grades 3-5

6-8—Grades 6-8

H.S.—High School

Faithbooking - Scrapbooking done as a record of the journey of faith taken over a program year.

Tithing - offering of our talents, ideas, abilities, gifts and resources.

Spirituality - that part of ourselves which connects with God through the Holy Spirit at work, not only in the lives of individuals, but also in the church, shaping it into the Body of Christ.

Spiritual Formation - the activity of the Holy Spirit which molds our lives into the likeness of Jesus Christ, which is one of deep intimacy with God and genuine compassion for all of creation.

Spiritual Practices - cooperation with the work of the Spirit which make us more open and responsive to the Spirit's touch.

Benediction - a short blessing with which a service of worship or a gathering of a faith community is ended.
